What kinds of books do you sell?
New, upcoming, and select one-off used titles. Used copies are typically single-quantity and first-come, first-served.
How does shipping work?
At checkout you can choose Media Mail (budget, slower, limited tracking) or Priority (faster/reliable). If timing matters, choose Priority.
Will my order arrive by a specific date?

Media Mail typically takes 5–8 business days and is less predictable. Priority is typically 2–3 business days.

Carrier times are not guaranteed. For deadlines, pick Priority.

What if my package is delayed, lost, or damaged by the carrier?

Carrier issues (e.g., USPS Media Mail delays/damage) are outside our control and are not refundable by default. Please first contact the carrier with your tracking number.

If unresolved, contact us with photos—we can often offer a store credit as a courtesy.

Used books are one-offs and sold as described; returns are limited. For rare/time-sensitive orders, we recommend Priority shipping.

Do you accept returns?
New books: requests within 14 days of delivery if unopened/unused (customer pays return shipping unless our error). Used books: generally final sale (one-off, described as-is), except for clear carrier damage—start a ticket with photos and we’ll review.
Can I upload photos for a return or issue?
Yes—on the Returns page you can upload a photo of the packaging/item. That helps us with the carrier.
Can I place a bulk / direct order?
Yes. For classrooms, stores, or events we can invoice and ship directly.
  • Typical minimum: 10+ copies of the same title (mixing formats OK).
  • Lead time: 5–10 business days for most titles; rush options available.
  • Tax-exempt and POs accepted for qualified orgs.

I’m an author—how do I get published with Particular Reads?
  1. Query: genre, word count, audience, timeline.
  2. Proposal: scope & pricing—hybrid model (you keep your rights).

How do I track my order?
We email tracking once your order ships. If you didn’t receive it, check spam or contact us with your order #.

They’re posted on the Terms & Privacy page. We may update them; subscribe to the newsletter if you’d like notifications of significant changes.

Condition Guide

Each book is hand inspected and graded prior to listing. The conditions are as accurate as we can possiblly be given the nature of used items. Two books listed in the same condition may have different types of wear. We will send the least noticibly worn copy avaialable upon ordering.

Like New — nearly pristine.
Very Good — clean with minor wear.
Good — solid reading copy; some marks.
Fair — noticeable wear; still readable.
Acceptable — heavy wear; complete text.
Ex-Library — library markings; reading copy.
